Business Financing Resources

Straightforward guidance to help you understand business-financing options, compare offers and make a more informed decision before signing.

Three questions to ask before choosing business financing

  1. What will the funding accomplish? Match the amount and timing to a specific need, such as inventory, payroll, a customer invoice or a planned investment. Borrowing more than the business needs can increase the total cost.
  2. What payment schedule fits your cash flow? Compare the actual daily, weekly or monthly payment, when it begins and how it lines up with receipts. A smaller payment may come with a longer repayment period or a higher total cost.
  3. What does the full offer require? Review total repayment, fees, prepayment terms, guarantees and liens. The best fit depends on the complete agreement and your qualifications, not a product name alone.
